Kylie Cochran on YAGM

“Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) is a program within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of American (ELCA). Each year, the ELCA’s partner churches and organizations around the globe call an average of 70 to 100 volunteers.

One country program is the Jerusalem West Bank program, which is led by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jordan and the Holy Land. Most YAGM volunteers are placed in programs within the church, including the Lutheran schools and Environmental Education Center. During their year of service, volunteers are provided with continuing education opportunities to learn more about the history, language, and culture of the region.

Three members of Twin Ports Peace Not Walls are YAGM alumni: Laura Anderson who served from 2012 to 2013; Kylie Cochran, who served from 2016-2017; and Lars Anderson, who served from 2017 to 2018.”
