Sparking Hope through Tuesday Gospel-based Discipleship

How can prayer help us make sense of the 2000-year-old Christian story? Gospel-based Discipleship (ChatGBD) is a form of contemplative prayer where there is both an essential and an accidental. Essentially, the Holy Spirit is fully involved in the reading, listening, and pondering of the Word. Accidentally, the human spirit is still wandering around and wondering through two unanswerable questions, what is truth and who am I? During our time together we will ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into the inspired Word of God, as it is present in this unique and precious life, and for Jesus to make himself known. Please join us for this time of faithful listening and learning.

In GBD, there are no right or wrong answers. The engagement is with the Gospel, not with a leader or the search for correct answers. Experienced leaders are not required, and leadership rotates. Groups and/or individuals using GBD regularly should expect to begin to see their call to mission differently.
