Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) Board
The NE MN Synod LYO Board plans and leads synod faith formation events for youth, including the All Youth Gathering, Middle School Gathering and Cardia Deo events. As we continue to expand the pilot Leadership Initiative that began in 2021, we have shifted how youth and adults apply to be part of the Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) Board.
Attend the NE MN Synod Leadership Camp
Youth and Adults interested in serving on the LYO Board are required to attend a NE MN Synod Leadership Camp prior to serving. You only need to attend one Leadership Camp, but we encourage youth who are interested in serving on the LYO to attend Leadership Camp each year to grow their skills and build relationships with other youth. Our next Leadership Camp is June 11-14, 2023.
Serve on an LYO Planning Team
Youth and Adults who have attended at least one NE MN Synod Leadership Camp are eligible to serve on LYO Planning Teams for individual synod faith formation events. LYO are required to attend both the planning retreat and event to serve.
