Building An Inclusive Church: RIC Training for Congregational Leaders
Saturday, January 17th at Salem Lutheran, Hermantown from 9:00-4:00
The Building an Inclusive Church Training helps participants design and implement a journey for faith communities who want to publicly and intentionally welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, and who want to incorporate a commitment to the work of racial equity into their welcome for all people.
This Training will equip you with ways to create dialogue and deepen relationships throughout your faith community, rather than sparking debate and division. This training will be led by Deacon David Behling of Reconcilingworks.org.

Goals and Outcomes
- Discover how to implement a journey for your faith community to publicly and intentionally welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions; and commit to the work of racial equity.
- Learn how to use the six core tools to move this holy work forward.
- Gain tools and practices for one-to-one and community conversation.
- Identify opportunities and next steps for applying concepts and strategies to incorporate a conversation of intersectional equity.
- Explore your own Christian call to hospitality and evangelism.
Cost
The cost is $30-$20 per person. Note that there is a sliding scale discount. Please bring as many leaders from your congregation as you can!
Cost per person for the first 5 from a congregation is $30.00.
Cost per person for persons 6-10 from a congregation is $25.00.
Cost per person for over 10 attendees is $20.00.
To qualify for the registration fee quantity discount, please register all participants at the same time.
